2018 Dates

We have two camps scheduled for 2018

  • June 17-23 2018

    Camp Nissokone, Oscoda, Michigan

    We will be staying at the YMCA Nissokone camp located near Oscoda, Michigan. This beautiful lakeside camp has swimming, horseback riding, sailing, hiking trails and comfortable cabins for our campers to enjoy.

  • August 5-11 2018

    Dekoven Center, Racine, Wisconsin

    Dekoven is located in Racine, Wisconsin. This majestic retreat center has beautiful grounds and a resort style accomodations. More information can be found on the website or you can email Heather: Heathers’s email address

Camp Nissokone organizer

Lives in Dexter, Michigan

Sandy is an Ann Arbor 5th grade teacher, and a stained glass artist (thanks Don), in her spare time. She has been a camper all her life. She even went to the sister camp Ohiyesa when she was a kid! She enjoys weightlifting, eating chocolate chip muffins with yellow cake, and watching Shark Tank.

Yvonne “Evi” Pappas has been coming to camp since 2004 and decided to step into the role of Ombsbuddy this year. As an artist, musician, and activist, she is committed to clear communication, with the intention of listening and speaking from the heart. I am retired from a career in drug and alcohol prevention. I recently moved to MI from Seattle and married a fabulous guy last August. I have been coming to camp since 2009 and love this place!!
